We welcome you to the Photo Tour of
Grace United Methodist Church.
You are invited to view the following photos by clicking on the

Grace Church, a New England colonial style church, stands at the corner of Seventh and Church Streets in Indiana, Pennsylvania . The church steeple, a local landmark and a popular directional point of reference, is easily seen from many vantage points.

It is easiest to enter the church on the first floor from the municipal parking lot or through the Church Street entrance, except when the wide front doors are open for worship services.  Come in whenever the church is open and you will find the Sanctuary, a favorite among those who appreciate colonial architecture. Ornate woodwork, pewter chandeliers, and twelve tinted colonial glass windows adorn the room. It's the people, of course, that make it warm and welcoming through all the seasons of the year, including the Christmas season.

You'll find information about Grace Church happenings in our new Welcome Center. Stop in and pick up a visitors packet, sign up for activities, visit the library, pick up your audio tapes, or ask directions of a Welcome Center host. A computer with internet access is provided for research opportunities and church related tasks.  Mailboxes for staff members are available for your convenience. If you are looking for something - even just a friendly smile - stop in the Welcome Center.

Throughout the history of Grace Church the parlors have been the site of wedding receptions, memorial services, graduation parties, bridal and baby showers, group meetings and classes. The parlors are a charming pair of connecting rooms that can be sectioned for multiple use. Adjoining the parlors is a modern kitchenette .

The first floor continues down the long corridor lined with Sunday School rooms.

Joshua Room                David Room              Sarah Room          Nursery

Noah's Ark Room          Jonah Room             Zacheaus Room

Let's go upstairs.

Four stairways and an elevator lead to the second floor, the center of our social activities. The gracious, air-conditoned Fellowship Hall is used for Wednesday Dinners, Community Lunch and many other activities that require the availability of a full kitchen. These include receptions and funeral dinners.

Follow the long hallway on the second floor and you'll find additional Sunday school rooms such as the Priscilla Room the Rainbow Room and also the Choir Room.

From Fellowship Hall you'll see more rooms, the Gabriel Room and the Jerusalem Room used for classes and meetings, to the immediate left. They serve as overflow rooms when a large crowd turns out for dinners.

Also off Fellowship Hall is Lydia's Prayer Room, a quiet inviting spot with prayer resources and a kneeler. It is available whenever the church is open. A rose-colored stained glass cross window faces onto Fellowship Hall.

The
Upper Room, our final stop on the Photo Tour, is home to a Sunday school group, to many meetings, and is a comfortable size for smaller, more intimate dinner/luncheon parties.

Across the street you'll find the Grace Growth Center:
The first floor of the center houses our church staff offices and the Lore Meeting Room. A Youth Center outfitted with a kitchenette, booths for conversation and eats, and a contemporary sound system for youth-oriented worship experiences occupies the second floor. It can be reached by stairs or elevator.

Going west on the same block of the Growth Center is our recently aquired G.I.M., Grace in Ministries Building.  This building was the former Red Cross building.  It now houses a large Food Pantry in the lower level and the upper floors are used for meeting rooms. It also houses the Director of Modern Worship and the Director of Congregational Care.

Now that you've had a tour of Grace Church, we hope you'll stop by in person, to see the real thing. We'll be waiting for you!
