Traditional Music Ministry
Vocal - Instrumental - Bells

The purpose of this ministry is threefold: 

(1) to praise and worship God through music
(2) to use our God-given talents to enhance the worship of others
(3) to support each other with prayer and fellowship

   God has given us many gifts. If you have a gift for music, here are some ways to share your talent with worshippers in the Traditional Worship Service. 

 During the school year we offer vocal and handbell choirs for adults, youth, and children who like to sing or ring.   We also have an orchestra, jazz ensemble, and brass quintet for anyone who plays a musical instrument.

In the summer, we offer the popular program:  "Summer Special Music".   This is a time for solos (vocal or instrumental) or special musical groups that are formed only in the summer.   Anyone can sign up to participate.  (see more information below)

 Vocal Ensembles
(Note:  no need to contact anyone ahead of time - just come to a rehearsal in the Choir Room during the school year)

• Chancel Choir  (any singer - college age and adults) -  Thurs. 7:30pm
• Christmas/Easter Choir (anyone who wants to sing during the Holidays) - Thurs. 7:00 pm
  
• JOYful Noise (for children age 4 to grade 2)  - Wed. 6:30 pm
  
• JOY Choir  (for children in grades 3-5)  - Wed. 7:00 pm
  
•  Drama Group (new) (for grades 6-8) - Wed. 7:00 pm
  
• Voices of Grace  (for youth grades 9-12) - Wed. 8:00 pm
  

  Handbell Ensembles

• Hosanna Ringers (chimes for children in grades 4-6) - Wed. 6:30 pm  

                                            Instrumental Ensembles
 (Note: if you are interested in any instrumental group, please contact the Traditional Music Director so we can make sure we have music for you.

• Sounds of Grace Orchestra (anyone who plays an instrument) Tues. 6:30 p.m.

• The Master's Jazz Ensemble (anyone who likes to play Christian jazz music) Tues.  7:30 pm
• The Brass Quintet (rehearsal times vary) (please sign up if you are interested)

Summer Special Music Program

During the summer, all our regular Music Ministry groups take a break.  This is a time for solos, duets, trios or special groups to share their talents and enhance our worship services.    This is also a time to try new things - liturgical dance,  drama,  new bell, vocal or instrumental groups,  and the list goes on.   If you would like to share some special talent with the 9:00 worshiping congregation, please sign up in the Welcome Center, see Tina St. Clair, Traditional Music Director, tstclair@indianagrace.org  or
