This will be a slightly abbrieviated e-news because I am on vacation!!!

While Pastor Bill is on vacation with his family, Rev. Howard Greenfield will bring the morning message this Sunday.   His sermon title is To Thine Own Self Be True.  The scripture lesson is taken from John 8:31-44.    It is Step-Up Sunday for the sixth graders who are transitioning into the Youth Group.  They will be recognized at the 11 a.m. service.

A new Grief Share group will start on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at 6:00 PM in the Grace in Ministries (G.I.M.) Building.  If you or someone you know has lost a loved one and are experiencing grief and loneliness, we hope you will consider joining us in this Fall Session of Grief Share.  It is a support group for those who are going through the loss of a loved one.  Those who have taken the class have been blessed and are encouraging others to join.  We hope you will have the courage to come as we walk this journey together.  Sign up in the Welcome Center, email Pastor Kathy at kmihoerck@indianagrace.org or call 724-463-8535, ext. 13.

“Get in the fast lane grandma–the Grace Church Corn Hole Tournament is about to start!” Yes , Grace Church’s inaugural, adult (post High School), CORN HOLE CHAMPIONSHIP will be contested Sunday, Sep. 18 at 2:30 pm in conjunction with the Church Picnic at Blue Spruce Park. It is open to members and regular attenders. Teams will consist of 2 men or two women or a man and a women in head to head completion. Entries are to be emailed to : zacchaeus29@comcast.net . Tourney brackets will be posted the day of the event in the Welcome Center. Entries must be emailed by midnight Sep. 14th.  The Tournament Committee is seeking persons who will make their “C.H.” equipment available that day. If you are willing to do so please email Dave at the address above. Time to check your supply of Icy Hot & limber up that pitching arm!

Plan now to attend the church picnic at Blue Spruce Park on September 18,  The gathering time begins at 3 p.m. (or earlier if you want to cheer on the Corn Hole contestents!)   We plan to eat at 4 p.m.    Watch for more details in future e-news or in the bulletin.

It’s crunch time for those who are considering the mission trip to Mexico with the Overdorffs.   There will be a brief meeting on Sunday, August 14, at 10:15 AM in the Welcome Center.  The cost for each team member is $600. Please send a check and copies of your passport and medical card to Donna before August 14.  She needs to book flights.  If you cannot attend the meeting, contact Donna at 724-464-7552.
