This Sunday, the sermon series Tremendous Trios continues with Joshua, Caleb and Rehab (Keeping Promises Led to Ancestry of Jesus).

The altar flowers that will be on the altar on Sunday are in honor of Ed & Peg Edward’s 64th Wedding Anniversary and are given by Jim and Karen, Bob, Debbie and family.   The white carnation is in memory of Jean Davis who passed on September 30th.

 All ladies are invited to attend Women’s Fellowship on the second Tuesday of each month.  On Oct. 12, at 7:00 the ladies will be packing the items that have been donated for the UMCOR hygiene kits.  (This Sunday is the last day for collecting items for the kits.) Refreshments will be served.

Sunday, October 10:  Youth will meet 6:30 to 8 PM in the Grace Growth Center Youth Room. Doors open at 6:15.  Be sure you have signed up for the Fall retreat and handed in your release form and payment to Pastor Will.  Last day for accepting the release form and payment for retreat is October 19th. Bring your friends to Youth Group and join the fun! Walking Tacos will be provided by Marion Henry.  Parents and others:  Donations of snacks are ALWAYS appreciated!

Saturday, October 16:  The Youth group will be helping Kenny Schramko with the “Ramps of Hope Ministry”. We will meet at 9:00am in the Youth Room at the Grace Growth Center and eat breakfast together. At 9:30am, transportation will be provided to and from Kenny Schramko’s home/property (Indiana, PA) to work on ramps for those who need the accessibility a ramp can provide. We will return to The Grace Growth Center at 12:30pm for parent/guardian pick up.

Tuesday, October 19:  Last day to sign up for and turn in both release form and payment of $70 per youth for the Nov 5-7 retreat at Teen Quest.  Call or text Pastor Will if you have any concerns regarding the cost: 724.421.2693

Saturday, October 23:  Youth will meet at 12pm in the back parking lot of the Grace Growth Center/Youth building to tailgate before walking to the IUP football game/Faith Day and returning to the Grace Growth Center after the game (around 5ish).  Tickets for the game are free for the Youth who have signed up by October 5th. The ONLY way to the back parking lot of the Grace Growth Center (because it is a ONE-WAY alley) is going from S.7th Street and turning on Klondyke Avenue and our lot is the first parking lot on the right.

Sunday, October 24:  Youth will meet this Sunday from 6:30-8pm in the Grace Growth Center Youth Room.  The doors open at 6:15p. Casual dinner food provided.  Bring your friends and join in the fun!  Food, drink and snack donations are always welcome!

Sunday, October 31:  12:15pm – 12:45pm In the Grace Growth Center (2nd floor).  Youth who are attending Teen Quest on Nov 5-, will meet along with their parent/guardians to go over the schedule for the retreat and answer any questions or concerns with Pastor Will and retreat chaperones.

Friday, November 5 – Sunday, November 7:  Youth are heading to Teen Quest!  Meet at the Grace Growth Center back parking lot at 5pm.  A casual dinner will be provided in the Youth room. We will load the vans and drive to Somerset.  We plan to leave Somerset on Sunday, at 11:15am and return to The Grace Growth Center for pick-up. The drive is approximately 1hr and 45 minutes.

Sunday, November 7:  Youth will NOT meet this Sunday due to being away all weekend for the Youth retreat!  Can’t wait to see you Sunday, November 14th!

CHILDREN’S MINISTRY
The After School Program is well under way.  We can always use more volunteers.   If you can help occasionally or regularly, please contact Pastor Marty at 724-463-8535 Ext. 11.

Trunk or Treat is October 30, from 6:00 to 7:00 PM, in the S&T Bank Parking lot behind Grace Church.  We are accepting candy donations for Trunk or Treat in the Kids Lobby.

The menu for October 13 is Meatloaf, Mashed Potatoes, Vegetable, Roll and Dessert.
Dinner is served from 5 to 6:00 PM.  The price is $5 per person, ages 5 & up.  To properly plan, reservations are required before noon on Tuesdays.  Sign up in the Welcome Center, email Becky McAnulty atbmcanulty@indianagrace.org, or call the church office.

Music Sunday this year will be Dec. 12 at the 9:00 Traditional Service.  Anyone wishing to sing at Christmas time (for Music Sunday and/or Christmas Eve), should come to choir rehearsals Thursday evening starting Oct. 14 from 7:00 to about 7:45 in the Choir Room (203).   The regular Chancel Choir rehearsals will occur immediately after the Christmas Choir rehearsals.  All singers are welcome.

A few ‘early bird’ priced tickets remain for the “She Is” Christian Women’s Conference that will be held at the KCAC October 22-23, 2021.  This year’s theme is She is Resilient and is featuring authors/speakers Mo Isom Aiken and Lisa Bevere.  After a large group of Grace ladies attended the She Is concert in 2019, the church purchased several tickets at the early bird/group rate of $37.35 for adults and $22.20 for students.  If you are interested in purchasing a ticket, or have any questions, please contact Beth Fabin at
