WEEKLY NEWS – September 16, 2022

Greetings,

“I love autumn, the one season of the year that God seemed to have put there just for the beauty of it.” – Lee Maynard

According to the calendar we still have a few more days of Summer, but Fall is definitely in the air!  Don’t you just love the cooler evenings and the excitement of schools being back in session with football, soccer, rugby, cross-country and so many other activities going on. High school sports are inexpensive to attend and great entertainment!   (For senior adults, contact your local school district about a senior gold card that gets you into many games for free!!!)

THEUNSHAKABLE KINDOM SERIES CONTINUES THIS SUNDAY

The sermon title is The Kingdom’s Total Reign with scripture text from Mark 1:14,15. We will be recognizing our retired pastors at this service.  For September 18, the reading is from Pages 73-103 (Yellow Spine) and 44-66 (Black Spine).  Books are still available in the church office.

JUST FOR LAUGHS

Kid’s letters to God:

 Dear Mr. God,
I wish you wouldn’t make it so easy for people to come apart.  I had to have three stitches and a shot.

Dear God,
I read the Bible.  What does begat mean?  Nobody will tell me.

Dear God,
Of all the people who work for you, I like Noah and David the best.

Dear God,
Who draws the lines around countries?

Dear God,
Did you mean for the giraffe to look like that or was it an accident?
